Future offerings!

Everyone is looking for the next big thing! I’m no different. Being a successful author’s assistant means trying to stay ahead of the curve. Figuring out what authors are going to need before they know they need it and making sure you know how to do it.

I’m currently in the process of taking two courses on App Building. (One that focuses specifically on Apple products, and another with a focus on Android devices.) Stay tuned, and remember, I’ll be needing Guinea Pigs in about 6 weeks time!

This week’s projects

What a fun and exciting week. I had the chance to make two new book covers, upload two new books, sit in on some Skype calls, participate in a really fun new venture that I thing is going to be a huge success, and create a variety of contests, newsletters and web updates.

Mixing Up A MemoryThe first cover of the week, I created for my wonderfully talented sister, Jena O’Connor. Jena just published her first book, Mixing Up A Memory, a sweet, inspirational romance about a family of five sisters (strikingly similar to my own family.)

I encourage everyone to grab a copy and see if you can tell which sister is based on me. : )

Destiny-FinalThe second cover of the week, was for Maggie Shayne’s upcoming re-release of Destiny. The third book in The Immortal Witch Series. Check out the covers for books 1 and 2, here.

Looking for a proof reader?

Jena O'ConnorIf you are indie publishing, you’ve probably heard time and time again that investing in a proof reader isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity! If you want your indie published book to stand up with the traditionally published books on the market, you need to make sure the book doesn’t contain a slew of typos, grammatical errors and repeated words. I’m happy to announce the launch of a new site, Practical Proofing.

Practical Proofing is owned and operated by my older sister, Jena O’Connor, an English teacher with 15 years of experience teaching high-school and college level courses. If you’re looking for someone to correct your grammar pitfalls, look no further.

Current clients, mention that you’re an Author’s Life Saver client and you’ll receive “the family discount.” : )
